Sephiria co-op guide: online multiplayer and roles
How to plan a four-player run around space, revives, shared loot decisions, and clearly assigned combat jobs.

What is confirmed
The Steam store lists online co-op for up to four players and specifically calls out trading items and reviving fallen companions. It also describes the game as playable solo, so co-op should be treated as a coordination option rather than a requirement.
Assign jobs before the run
Use simple roles: one player creates space, one watches dangerous targets, one secures a revive window, and one calls out valuable drops. Roles can overlap, but a named responsibility keeps a crowded room from becoming four players making the same decision.
Use voice or quick callouts for boss phases and revive timing. Do not spend a rare item while another player is already moving to a safer route.
Trade with a plan
When a drop does not fit the current weapon route, announce it before taking another item. Keep a short team rule for upgrades: primary weapon fit first, survivability second, novelty last.
The four-player rhythm
A clean room has a caller, a space-maker, a loot reader, and a revive owner. These are responsibilities, not permanent classes; rotate them when the room or weapon route changes.
Before a boss, agree on where players will regroup and which resource is reserved for recovery. That prevents four separate panic decisions when the first player falls.
Co-op build etiquette
Call an item before taking it if another player can use it. Prefer complementary routes: one player controls space, another maintains damage, and a third carries the safer revive window.
After the run, compare what each player actually contributed. A build that looks weaker on a damage screen may have created the room that made the clear possible.
Follow this order
- 01Assign jobs
Name the caller, space-maker, loot reader, and revive owner before the first room.
- 02Share the route
Call the build direction and the item that another player should not miss.
- 03Regroup on cues
Choose one meeting point and leave a boss punish window together.
- 04Review the wipe
Fix the first communication failure, not only the final attack that landed.
Before you commit to this route
- Assign a caller, space-maker, loot reader, and revive owner
- Agree on a regroup point before the boss
- Call items that another player can use
- Review the communication failure after a wipe
